Deposit Account Application

What types of deposit accounts can I apply for online?

You can use the online account application to establish your Fort Financial membership and apply to open a savings, savings club, some certificates of deposit or checking accounts.

Do I have to be an existing member of Fort Financial to open an account online?

No, you do not have to be an existing Fort Financial member. Everyone can use the online account application. However, non-members must meet our eligibility requirements to become a member.

What information will I need to open an account?

During the application process, we’ll ask for your contact information, Social Security number and ID, such as a driver’s license or birth certificate. We’ll also ask for this information for any join account owners.
In order to fund your account, you’ll also need a debit card or the bank account and routing numbers from another account.
All new members will also need to select a username and password to set up access to online and mobile banking.

How long does it take to submit an account application?

It takes about five minutes to submit your account application.

What happens after I submit my account application?

We’ll review your account application and open your account. It can take up to 48 hours for the funds to be deposited into your new account. You will have immediate access to online and mobile banking to manage your account. We may contact you if additional information is required to process your account application.

Can I add a joint owner to my existing Fort Financial account?

Yes, if you are the primary owner of an existing Fort Financial account, you can add a joint owner through online or mobile banking. After signing in, select “Add a Joint Owner.” Enter the first name and email address of the person you wish to add to the account. An invitation will be emailed to them with instructions for how to be added to the account.

Loan Application

What types of loans can I apply for online?

You can use the online loan application to apply for a new or used auto loan, recreational vehicle loan, unsecured loan, line of credit or Visa loan.

Can I apply for a mortgage online?

Our online mortgage application is a separate application and can be access by visiting our Mortgage page.

Do I have to be an existing member of Fort Financial to submit a loan application?

No, you do not have to be an existing Fort Financial member. Everyone can use the online loan application to apply. However, non-members must meet our eligibility requirements to become a member.

What information will I need to submit my loan application?

During the application process, we’ll ask for your driver’s license number, Social Security number and payroll information. We’ll also ask for this information for any joint applicants or co-signers.

If you are applying for a collateral loan, such as for a car or recreational vehicle, we will need the model year. Supplying the make, model and identification number (ex.: VIN) is also helpful in processing your loan application.

How long does it take to submit a loan application?

It takes about five minutes to submit your loan application.

What happens after I submit my loan application?

We’ll review your loan application and contact you within 24 hours. We may contact you if additional information is required to process your loan application.

General Information

Why am I having trouble viewing an online application?

If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser, you may encounter issues with an application not displaying properly. We recommend using Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari when you are completing your online application.
